On Saturday evening there were promoted two fights for BBU titles at differents places.
At Vaasa Finland there was a show which was co-promoted by Finland-basedCaramelito Promotions and Russian-based Jab Promotion. There were four pro fights on card including two title fights. In the 12-round scheduled fight for vacant WBO Europe and interim PABA titles in Welterweight division Alexander Yagupov managed boxer Sherali “The Lion” Mamadaliev and Frenchman Frederic Serre really set the audience on fire with their combat.
In another title fight which was scheduled for vacant BBU International title in super middleweight division. Estonian hard-hitter Anton Sjomkin (3-1, 3 KOs) scored his second TKO-victory over Finnish boxers in Vaasa. Back in December 2006 Sjomkin stopped Harri Okkonen, and this time he upset vastly experienced former amateur boxer and previously undefeated pro fighter Sami Selesmaa (3-1, 2 KOs) in two rounds. The first round saw both men fighting on even terms and also both men down. In the second round Selesmaa was twice knocked down by Sjomkin, forcing referee to stop the fight. Selesmaa was first down after the right-left combo by Estonian and then became a victim of monstrous left hook of Sjomkin.

At Riga, Latvia on same evening was fought the first ever BBU Female title fight between Sofia Sidorova (RUS) and Lana Anohina (LIT).
On their fight Sidorova floored Anohina once in first round and continued to be the aggressor till end of fourth round after which the fight was forced to stor for beeing too one-sided.
With the victory Sidorova, who will also be remembered as the first ever BBU Female Champion, improved to 9 (7KO) -0.
With this fight Latvia joined in the group in which countries there have fought for BBU titles.
